Last night on the news they were talking about how the city could save $15 million by not running the rail line across the new bridge. A lot of people have been talking about how the station should be on the other side of the bridge or in the railyard or even furthur away in Esquimalt. I don't think Victoria cares how the railway is in its redevelopment stage where it is being looked at for transportation, Freight and tourist. Victoria talks about how they are trying to attract tourist but in the past years all they have done is chase away sites and places for tourist to visit. There was a train for tourist, a Russian Sub, talks about the Sea planes being sent away as well as many other sites but they are all gone now and all the city focuses on is the condos going up all over town. Victoria has always had a strong railway pressence but if the people have there way how dont want it going over the bridge then we can add the Dayliner to the long list of things that people used to do. I dont want pictures to be the only thing people have to show there children in the future.
